July 4, 1776 our founding fathers adopted the Declaration of Independence setting America on the road to freedom from Great Britain. Today we celebrate this momentous occasion by barbecuing, eating hot dogs, fire works, and parades.
OR if your a blogger, you have a BLOG PARTY! Kari & Kijsa are having a Fabulous Flag Flying Fourth parade where you post your favorite flag photo. How many "f's" are in that sentence?
I purchased these stars for a 4th of July party but I think I might keep them up year round.
My favorite flag photo: The kids helping Grandpa put up his new flag.
Have a Happy Independence Day and stay safe!

LOVE the idea of the stars over the outside mantle ... I have the same ones and if you ever get the urge to change the color, they take spray paint beautifully ... I tried it!

Hi, thanks so much for stopping by. I love those stars! Happy
4th!
You're flying your colors so well. I love all of your decorations, and especially your stars.
The outdoor fireplace is great! We're looking into doing that, but not sure how much we'd use it here in Ohio -- lots of snow and rain. Not too mention we'd have to regrade our backyard.
The bows on the lamp are a nice touch too. Very simple, but beautiful.
Love all your pics and text. Go USA
Happy 4th of July.
