Awards & Running Through Grass...

Ruby Red Slippers from Lions, Tigers and Boys, Oh My has given me the BFF Gold Card. Thank you Ruby! This is the first time receiving the BFF award.

I would like to pass this award on to the following friends...

1. Connie from Connie's turning 50

2. Cheri from Gamma's Gab

3. Darlene from Darlene's Days

4. Cindy from Love from MN

5. Rae from My Life on the East Coast

6. Laura from Making A House a Home

7. AJ from A Work In Progress

I've developed such a great friendship with these ladies that I can truly call them my BFF's...Blogging Friends Forever. I feel like they would stay my friends even if I don't post for awhile. Like real life friends that don't talk for awhile and then can pick up where they left off.

Ruby Red Slipper has also given me this beautiful Kreative Blogger Award. I've seen such talented ladies in blog land receive this award. So I'm very honored to receive it.

With this award, I need to list 6 things that make me happy.

1. Legos (I have boys)

2. Decorating (no surprise here)

3. Peppermint Hot Cocoa (I can't find it anywhere yet)

4. My Hubby (for all sorts of reasons)

5. Christmas trees (I could have one in every room of my house)

6. Reservations (I hate cooking)

Last week I listed 6 unimportant things about me and had a hard time listing them. Well my good friend Debbie of Ribbonwood Cottage had a few questions of her own.

(Debbie) I enjoyed your tag info...I have some more questions.

Are you project oriented, do you procrastinate, how long do you blog everyday?

Most of the time I'm project oriented but get lazy every so often and then procrastinate. I probably blog a few hours most days. Sometimes I have to ignore my computer totally and get housework done.

What is your favorite beverage, meal, treat?

Peach tea from Logans Roadhouse, steak at Logans Roadhouse & fudge.

What excites you when you shop?

I get excited when I find something for my house that is on sale. I could seriously skip out to my car.

What do you dream about, hope for, wish for?

I dream about living on a farm with lots of animals, tons of green grass and a rider mower to keep up with the grass. Whenever I've been depressed or in pain I always picture myself running bare foot through hills of grass. I have no idea why this makes me feel better.

Thank you Debbie for asking such great questions!

Don't you just love the network of friends you make through blogging? I was just talking about you the other day. It went something like this, "My friend, Brandee just painted her front door....." Even though I have never met you in person I totally consider you one of my friends! Thanks for feeling the same way and passing this ultra fun award on to me!!!!

I am so with you on finding things on sale. I annoy my friends by telling them over and over "Can you believe I got THIS for THAT?"

I don't know about a farm, but I would love to have lots of land so I can have more animals. And a riding lawnmower is a must!

Congrats on your awards

What a neat list. My husband and I would love to live on a farm - his grandmother owned a big one and he used to visit as a young boy. :)
Congratulations on your award!

I love reading your blogs and you deserve awards, you always seem to write something with such a great sense of humor.
I was laughing when I read the part about having some land and a riding lawn mower. That was one of the first things we bought when we moved here, was a riding lawnmower. Hubby and I used to get excited when the grass would grow and we would both want to ride it and cut the lawn. Well, the novelty wore off for me when I kept running over and breaking sprinkler heads and then have to hear him grumble as he fixed them.

Congrats on the awards! It sounds like your dream place to live is where I do! I don't have animals but the two farms surrounding us do!

momof4azkids said...

Brandee, your dream and mine are exactly the same. (Though I'd have to have hypo-allergenic animals.) Let's go house hunting in White Fence Farms, and we'll buy homes next door to each other. :)

Brandee! Great job answering those questions...I love knowing what gets women excited, sometimes it is their family, a decorating project, blogging...etc. Did you know women who blog are less likely to get depressed? It's true, I just made that fact up...but it is a fact!!!
Blessings,
Debbie

Loved your answers :) I have to tell you, acres of green grass may look pretty but mowing, even if it's on a ride on, can get a little uncomfortable after an hour.....I blogged about what inspires me today. Check it out and let me know what inspires you!

Since you live in Arizona...and since I'm a generous person...how about I send you some of my TV snow!!! Hey you don't get much snow there...if any...so it will be FUN for you!

Decor To Adore said...

It is so much fun to learn more about you.

If you buy some REAL (not imitations) oil of peppermint (usually in a teeny bottle in the cake decorating section) and add a drop or two to any ole hot cocoa be prepared for YUM!

Connie said...

You are such a sweetie! Thanks for the award...you are too kind. It's been fun getting to know you...I love ALL tea and especially peach tea. Have you been out to any of the tea houses in Glendale? My favorite was THE SPICERY..I don't know if it's still there. Connie
