I couldn't help myself....

Remember this adorable scarecrow that Darlene of Darlene's Days made?

Well, I couldn't help myself. I begged her into making me one. All I had to do was send her a picture of me on my hands and knees begging.(Not really) He is now my favorite Fall decoration.

She used colors that fit in with my decor. Thanks Darlene! Sorry you had to see that awful picture of me begging. ;-)

I also promised to show you the diaper cake that I made for the baby shower.

It turned out to be the cutest thing I've ever made.

And since he is the cutest thing ever, here are a few more pictures.
(I only took about 60 pictures)

I'm so glad the shower is over. We had about 30 guests for the shower. It was a total success. Thanks to my diaper cake. Thanks to all the people that helped. I didn't have to worry about anything but the diaper cake and punch...oh and a clean house.

If you would like instructions for the diaper cake go here. I must warn you though, her blog is addicting.

That diaper cake is fabulous! OMGosh! I wish you were my neighbor. I'd be copycatting you on everything you'd get so sick of me. But that's what you get for being so incredibly creative.

No wonder your mom asked you to throw the shower. The CAKE and everything else looks like it turned out wonderful.
Seriously those cakes are so adorable and so useful!

I am planning two wedding showers for November... Hopefully they will turn out as wonderful. No diaper cakes are needed though:)one is a bridal at our home for our neice and the other one is for our son which is a Jack and Jill for 150 people which I rented a club house for, any suggestions?
They are a week apart with Thanksgiving in between... I am going to need all the help I can get!:)

Hi Brandee:
I know how much work is involved in giving a shower, it's a lot more than a clean house and a diaper cake!!!! How sweet of you to have it at your house and I know you were the perfect hostess. Everything looks so cute, including both cakes...diaper and real.
I love Darlene's scarecrow. Gosh, everyone is so talented!!
