What time is it ?

Is it weird to want a clock primarily for it's beauty and not it's time? If so, I guess I'm weird. I've come to accept this genetic trait that's been handed down from my ancestors. It's all their fault that I'm weird. I just know it.

I was reading one of my favorite blogs My Life on the East Coast and noticed something beautiful above her desk in which she blogs from. A gorgeous iron clock. I wanted one really bad.

Well, Hobby Lobby was having a sale (can you believe it?) on all their iron stuff. It wasn't exactly like my friends but it was close.

You would think with this large piece of iron I would know what time it is. However, my working/blogging space is in my bedroom. I can't have anything that ticks and tocks all night. But I think it's beautiful just the way it is. Even if it doesn't speak.

Did I mention that I have my own little personal back supporter and space heater? Yes, she sits on her pillow while I work and/or blog. She is very warm.

I also have a black kitty that sits on my desk while working. Isn't she pretty? I think those that say they're not cat people have never been loved by a cat. The relationship between a cat and her owner is special.

I've been tagged by The Hinesley House to post 6 random things about myself. So here is goes:

1: I love pets. Including the lazy kind.

2: I'm a very political person. I take my voting privilege very serious. I read each and every proposition and watch all debates. I know my ancestors before me didn't always have this right.

3. I love reading with my youngest every night. He is the only one of my kids that loves reading. (I know, sad) So, I take advantage of it and let him read for almost an hour. He is 6.

4. I'm a very loyal friend. Once we are friends, it's hard to get rid of me.

5. I'm feeling very tired at this point and can't think of any other random things about me.

6. Are you still reading this?

Thanks Hinseley House for tagging me. Anyone that would like to play along is welcome.

How did I miss that clock? And your fur babies are so cute, I was actually laughing out loud seeing them all sprawled out snoozing away, so funny!

How long ago did I post a picture with that clock? I can't believe you remembered it! :) Actually I can, I'm the same way. When I see something I really like I don't forget! I'm so glad you were able to find that wonderful clock. It looks great above your desk!

I LOVE your personal heater/back support. So adorable. I tell ya, as it gets chillier and chillier (40's this morning) I could definitely use your little doggy!

As you know, I too am grateful for the privilege of voting! We are truly blessed to live in a democracy!

The clock is wonderful ~ You have a great computer area. Dixie is always with me when I am "working" on the computer!

Love that clock.

I am the girl who wears a broken watch because it matches my outfit, doesn't matter that it has needed a new batery for years! haha

Your pets are just adorable. My mom's cat sits on her computer while she works. If she doesn't get attention every few minutes, she proceeds to walk across the keyboard.

I'm jealous (in a good way if that's possible) of your clock. I want one. Your dog looks adorable. I'm a dog person. I think your cat is beautiful but I've never had a cat so I can't say I love cats. Your boy is very cute. It's great that he likes to read. He will be a very well informed young man and a wonderful date when he grows up.

I love the pix of your lazy animals. I have lots of lazy animals too...and love seeing them all curled up in comfy spaces! One of my cats likes to sit on my computer desk chair and will not move so I have to share the seat with her and she becomes my back-warmer! ~Sherri

What excites you when you shop, what do you dream about, hope for, wish for? See...I could make your questions and you could answer them!!!
Blessings,

I agree that non-cat-people must never have had one. I loved having a cat. She was a wonderful pet and not nearly as high maintenance as the dogs I've had. We had to give her away after our son was born and was severely allergic to the kitty. I still miss her. Boo-hoo.

Love the clock! -Julia
