Decked the Halls...

Last year I knew I would need to stock up on ornaments. I was determined to buy a new tree this year and let the kids have the old tree to themselves. After all, the tree was 11 years old...in dog years...that's old.

So I hit the after Christmas sa
les last year...

I wasn't sure when, what, where or how I was going to get a new tree but determined to find one...at a reasonable cost of course.

A few weeks ago I driving through my neighborhood and low and behold there were 3 yardsales...yikes!

Sitting out on the curb was this beauty. It was meant to be.

I had an absolute ball decorating my own tree.

I have a secret crush on Santa. I own about 13 little statues of him.

Of course he is my tree topper.

Here is the front entryway...

I love the details on this Santa.

The kids also had a blast decorating their tree. I'll show you the results in another post. Meanwhile, go ahead and laugh at my new header...it's wishful thinking on my part.

Gorgeous! I have a few Santas. I will have to post them. I just saw a couch santa yesterday at Homegoods. Girl, it was $399.00! Obviously, it stayed at the store! I would love one of those though. Now don't worry too much, I did buy a Santa...just not that one!

Love the new header girlie!! And your tree is fab-u-lous! We put our big tree up last night but still haven't put the lights on yet. That's my least favorite thing to do!! I'm kind of getting Scroogish! I guess I just am not prepared to scale down so much this year! Oh well, I'll get over it:) Wish I would have stocked up on the clearance stuff last year-I could use a little "new" right about now;) Have fun decorating!

Brandee,

Read the comments and see I told you you have that gift of decorating. I feel fortunate to have found so many bloggy gals that love to decorate and give me ideas. Yeah for me.

The tree looks wonderful!!! I am waiting for my daughter and granddaughter to arrive today, daughter wants to help decorate since they are moving and will not have a house to do, that is "why" no Christmas posts yet.

You collect Santas? I collect Snowmen. You have some great looking Santas, I may have to switch.

I don't think you're going to get much snow in Arizona....but I'll share our Utah snow with you.
Your garage sale tree is really pretty with all your decor on it. I love the colors you chose.
I have a thing for Santa too, and snowmen.

Beauteeful!

Sometimes, I think a plain tree with lights is wonderful, until I see it decorated. I'm aching now to sit by mine and watch the lights glow... a favorite Christmas pastime!
