Melissa at The Inspired Room is hosting Fall Nesting Week.
I couldn't get enough of that Fall ribbon. It's all over my house now. I decided to make a couple of small swags with it. I bought these little picks from HL and tide on the ribbon. For some reason I'm really into decorating my lamps. Not sure why.
I also changed out my photo's to my favorite Fall pic's of the kids. This was not hard to do. I already had the pictures in the frames. I also have Christmas and Easter pictures in there too.
Next week I'm going to share my scare-a-crows. Don't you love that name...scare-a-crow. I suppose they couldn't think up a better name. It's sort of like calling bleach...kill-a-germ or a vacuum...suck-up-dirt. Why didn't they call it garden caretaker or Bob. Okay, now I understand. ;-)

I LOVE your decorated lamps and I remembered you said in another post that you switched your pictures out seasonally with the others kept in the frame - great idea!! I can't wait to see your scare - a -crow!!!

You creative crafty women just chap my hide! Where do you come up with these brilliant ideas? I would never think to decorate the lamp shades...but look how AWESOME they look!!! And the idea of putting seasonal pictures of your family in the frames....well that's just genius. And completely annoying that I never thought of that!

You know, I've been thinking my lamps needed some fall bling, too. I was leaning towards something like a tassel, but I love the ribbon garland. Looks so pretty.

okay, love the lamp garlands...that is such a new idea...I've never seen it before :)

I love your lamps! They look so pretty all gussied up for fall! :o) AND! I started putting 'summer-esque" pictures of my kids in the living room this summer... to tie into my "summer theme." Would you know it never occured to me to bring out some fall ones? lol I love that idea.

I never would have thought to decorate me lampshades. That looks so pretty! And changing your pictures to reflect the season is a great idea too!
