Halloween Extravaganza...

I recently visited a local store called The Gilbert Manor. They had the cutest Halloween decorations. Keep count of how many project ideas you get here.

I'm salivating over all the ribbon.

Oh, they have a nice little statue of me.

Forget the decorations here, I want the cabinet.

Here they placed those Christmas candle sticks inside the jars.

Look how cute those plates are.

Oops, dropped my hat.

I would love to have this arrangement at my front door.

My mother just asked me if she could host a baby shower at my house. With a gulp, I said yes. I tend to go nuts knowing lots of people are coming over. I go into project overdrive and ignore the kids and hubby for a few days. I'm excited though. I've always wanted to make the diaper cake that I saw here. I plan to dress it up with Halloween colors.

Have a great week! Thanks for letting me know I wasn't the only person in the world that didn't know how to can food. I actually just finished my second jar of peaches. Yum!

At first glance, I thought the first picture was your home, and was thinking, "So, that's how she makes so many cute things."
That place is so neat, and looks like it is bursting with great ideas. I loved the halloween plates-so clever!

P.S: I hosted my sisters baby shower last year and had a ball-I did all vintage baby clothes (hung on wreath holders), with old suitcases, silver rattles, and old quilts.I brought in old cradles to put the gifts in and around. We did it as a brunch with coffee/flavored seasonal creamers and seasonal teas-just some ideas...Have fun-I LOVE planning stuff like that.

Wow, what cute Halloween stuff! I was cracking up over the statue of "you." I don't think any of us believes you're a witch, Brandee. Ha.

I'm afraid that by the time I get around to decorating for Halloween, it's going to be Thanksgiving. *sigh* I'm behind on everything these days! -Julia

Yeah...I thought it was your house at first glance also. Cute store. I go psycho when I plan stuff too. The whole family becomes involved...what kind of therapy will they need one day?

Great pictures of the store and all the goodies. I love your funny comments under your pictures. You sound like you have a great sense of humor.
We had a baby shower in Feb for my daughter in law, and made the diaper cake. Af first glance, it looked like a real cake. Lots of fun to do.

What Gor-geous stuff in Gilbert. Your home will be bee-u-ti-ful for the shower. I would love to see it in person.

Good Grief is a great way to sum up my last couple of weeks. So thanks for that. I would swing by your house if you were on my way to Georgia. But nope, you're in the stinking wrong direction.

You might could put some beads on some last minute key chains. You never know how many will sell. I hope the whole kit-n-kaboodle!

Where is this great place? I am sooo into plates. I know your shower will go great. Did I tell you about the girl who did a shower and had full sized toys on her table for height and to hold serving dishes? Yes, a child's chair, a big dump truck, and old fashioned looking scale, like you would see at a potato farm. stuff like that. It was very cute mixed in with all the other stuff. Have a great day!

Hi Brandee,
I love NPR, I listen to it in the car too just like you *smiles* Sometimes if I'm going into work later in the day then I have to listen to Radio Reader in my crafting room. Can't miss that! This is one of the drawbacks working on this store set, missing my NPR time. With a 45 minute commute, an hour and a half daily, well that's a lot of time to enrich my mind and keep current on news. Thanks for sharing that you love NPR too, I get chided a lot by people who just don't seem to get it so it's nice to meet another fan *smiles*
