Friends House At Christmas...

Okay, I'm in need of a post title idea for this one...I'm drawing a blank.

I wanted to share my friends house during Christmas last year. She lives in Palm Springs and is probably my only friend that decorates like me. Well, I decorate like her. :-)

Here is the entry to her courtyard.

One of the reasons I love her decorating so much is that she keeps it simple.

It doesn't look like Christmas threw up all over her house. Just simple Christmas touches here and there.

My friend knows how to entertain. She always has the table set just right. (I take notes every time I visit)

And here is her Christmas tree...

I love how the ribbon looks. She said it only took her a few hours to get it just right.

Have you all started your Christmas decorating yet? I can't wait to get more ideas! :-)

I would like to thank Girly Stuff for this award. She is a very funny girl...that girly stuff...and she knows how to decorate. If you haven't met her yet, you're in for a treat!

I would also like to thank Life with Lisa Ann for this beautiful butterfly award. I think I'm the only one that has this award...I haven't seen it around anyway. So nana nana boo boo!

You should check out Lisa Ann's blog for great recipes, ideas and beautiful country pic's.

Hi Brandee:
I like your friend's court yard. I had one on a house years ago and it was so fun to decorate.
No, I haven't started decorating for Christmas yet. I thought I would wait until I get through Thanksgiving. I don't know how much I will do this year, might keep it simple, as we will be out of town this year for Christmas.
Hard to get real enthused when it's just hubby and I. Bah Humbug. lol.
Congrats on the awards. I think you are right, you are the only one with the butterfly award so far.

Brandee,

Congrats on the awards! Whoo Hoo.

Traditionally we start the Sunday after Thanksgiving but since no daughters will be here yet to help it might get postponed by a few days.

I keep saying things to hubby so he isn't totally surprised when I tell him "that" Sunday that I think him and I should surprise the kids and have the house decorated. Anyone want to place bets how this will turn out????

Your friends house is lovely. I haven't started yet...can't bring myself to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving...then all the stuff will start coming out. YUCK...can we just skip it and go straight to spring?

Your friend's home is lovely!

Question is...are YOU decorated for Christmas?

Congrats on the awards! Your friends house is lovely. I think I might be one of those people you were talking about where it looks like Christmas threw up all over the house, and right now, it's Halloween too! I think I need to get off this computer & get busy. See, you made me feel guilty! ;O)

Hi Brandee! We usually start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, and watch It's A Wonderful Life at the same time. This year should be fun, I know Emma will love putting ornaments on the tree. I love how your friends tree fits perfectly in the window, it's like the spot was made for it!

Going to see Twilight on Sunday, can't wait but I have already heard bad things :(

Lovely home and beautiful decorations.

I haven't started decorating yet, but does it count that we just got it out of storage? And it will be waiting for us when we return from Thanksgiving.

I literally laughed out loud when I read your comment on my blog. Gurl, all I can say is you better find some construction paper and markers and get ta makin' an Anniversary card. HA!!

BTW I enjoyed the tour of your friends house. And like the two of you I decorate just a little here and there for Christmas. I can't stand the throw up look either. Or maybe I'm just too lazy to spend that much time decorating. LOL!

(Assuming you saw it last night)

So, I saw Twilight! I would say I liked it, not loved but is was satisfactory enough for me. I wish they had developed the Cullen characters a little more, and had more of the romance of Bella and Edward, but they did a good enough job packing a 700 plus page book into a two hour movie. There was one part that I laughed out loud at which happened in the Biology classroom. I just thought Edward's reaction to Bella was hilarious! I would love to hear your thoughts!

Oh, and I thought Rob Patterson turned out to be the 'perfect' Edward, had my doubts, but loved him!

Hi, Brandee, I haven't been by in awhile, so thanks for stopping by. I hope you are all ready for Thanksgiving. I think I am, ready to put the stuff in the oven & start cooking early. I hope you and yours have a wonderful day & then next week, it's time to get out all the Christmas...can't wait!

Giggle, giggle. You say things so well ... and you make me feel better since Christmas definately does NOT throw up all over my house. =) I think my kids wish it would though... at least in the gifting arena.
