I've been Inspired!

Yes, I realize it's a common word
in blog land "Inspired".

Laughter by Lakeside, have you heard of it? She is an interior designer AND a really good one, designer that is.

If you look at her pictures you will see she adds touches of IRON to her decorating. I wanted to add iron to my humble abode so I went shopping. Specifically for IRON.

Did you know that Hobby Lobby has IRON?

Here are more inspirational pictures with IRON. (not my home)

Painted Iron...

Iron Bowls...

Embellished Iron Bowls...

I would hate for that to fall on your head iron...

I wonder where I could find this iron clock...

And my favorite...

IRON magazine holder for the bathroom...

This magazine holder was left with our old house. Bummer! (we still have the kid though)

Oooooo I have been inspired...yes I used our blog world word. But, I want something new over my couch and I see the answer with the pictures or painting with the iron over it. I LOVE it.....I'll be hunting at my Hobby Lobby now. I also like the touches over the doorway and in the hall. Iron here I come!!!!!

I love iron yet the only thing I have in my house is my giant clock in the dining room! My mother has a wall filled with an eclectic mix of iron crosses. It is so striking!

I love all the iron work! I also love Hobby Lobby and you can never beat when they have 50% off! I think I have iron in almost every room in my house, you have such a beautiful home - I have been inspired (lol) by all your draperies!

WOW! I've never had a shout-out on someone's blog before. Thank you sooo much for your sweet mentionings!
I am loving all of your iron pieces throughout your home. Iron just add a whole different texture to a room, but works so well up against even the most fragile items.
Your home is beautiful and I am enjoying all of your ideas. Even designers need ideas for inspiration. You never know what kind of design will emerge from the smallest idea.
As for the wall magazine holder, you probably could find one at your Hobby Lobby. I know Southern Living At Home carries one. Any kind of Mexican import store would have one as well. Old Time Pottery and Ballard Designs may also have one. Good Luck and thank you again for your kind words.

I love iron, too. I was just at Hobby Lobby and you're right--they've got lots of it and nothing's too expensive. You get a lot of decorating bang for your buck with iron accessories.

Had to laugh at your comment about the iron over the bed. Hope it doesn't fall on anyone's head! -Julia :-)

I've never been to hobby lobby, I wonder if they have those in Portland Oregon??

Great finds!

Happy day, and I HOPE you will find some concealments to share! :-) I would be so excited to see them.

Happy day!!!

Hi Brandee :)

You do realize your son is going to be a tad upset you put that picture on there don't you? LOL

All the new touches of iron look great. I love the bug ones :)

Oh and fireworks are illegal here too, but these were the smoke bomb kind. Although our neighbors didn't seem to care and they were shooting off the illegal kind. They must have used their stimulus check on them because it went on for days LOL

Oooo I think Iron just adds a lot of pop to a room. You did a great job. Yes, I did paint but we had the molding added while we were building... Love that last picture... He is so going to get you in years to come! Susie H~

I love what you did with all that iron. It looks so good. It really looks good with your touches of black. Wow. Are you going to get more iron for the patio now? Plant stands, chairs, patio decor. You have only just begun!!! Blessings, Debbie

I wish I had a Hobby Lobby near me. I even went to their web site hoping I could by the iron leaves online. No such luck. I guess I'll have to keep looking.

I love the iron touch. My guest bedroom has an antique Iron bed with brass. I don't have much iron decor,
but I admire it when I shop in the home stores. A piece here and there would add interest. Let us know what you decide to buy. Smile!

I love me some iron...
I work at Hobby Lobby - Hate me! We do have a ton of iron and lots of other tempting home decor items. It is tough working there and managing to come with a paycheck, lol The trick with Hobby Lobby is never to pay full price for anything, they run such great sales every week that you just have to wait a week or two for your item to go on sale. Another tip, look for a six digit sku on the item, if it has a sku # then it's orderable, so presumeably you can get one any time but if the item has only a word like Fall or a code like M 08 then it's send out and is not orderable, so you better grab it if you want it because when it's gone, it's gone. I have about 6 Hobby Lobby's within an 2 hour drive of me... I can't imagine not having one and I feel so bad for you girls who don't have one to close to shop at.
